This training course equips Mississippi State University students, faculty and staff with practical tools to safely and effectively manage confrontational situations through de-escalation techniques. Whether interacting with a distressed individual, managing a disruptive situation or responding to verbal aggression, participants will learn how to reduce tension, maintain control and promote a safer campus environment.

• Understanding the signs of escalating behavior

• Staying calm under pressure and maintaining personal safety
• Setting boundaries and using respectful redirection
